Two HKLC contributors, Jo and Chris, will be heading to Canberra, Australia this weekend to talk about HKLC at the New Librarians' Symposium 8. Hosted by the Australian Library and Information Association, this symposium encourages participation in the profession by new graduates, and provides a welcoming environment for young and established professionals to exchange ideas and make connections.
We thought that this would be a perfect venue to talk about HKLC, which is of course all about connecting library professionals and community building. In our session on 25 June, we will talk about our DIY ethos in getting HKLC up and running, look back on our progress so far, and discuss what we hope to achieve in the future.
Keep an eye on our Twitter this weekend, as we will be live-tweeting the from the event. There will be excellent keynote speakers, including R. David Lankes, Mylee Joseph, Jane Caro and the team from the International Librarians Network. We hope you enjoy following along!
